Boulder Opal and Cats Eye Deva Pendant, Sterling Silver Brutalist Australian Opal and Chrysoberyl Tulip Pendant, Gemstone Botanical Pendant

I do love making devas! This one is already a favorite. The body stone is a Koroit Boulder opal from Australia. It has very strong patterning across the whole stone and strong blue green and deep blue fire throughout. It is held by claws beneath the neck hinge. The neck hinge has two tulips and a tulip leaf across it. There is also a Flawless Orange Brown Zircon, 5.5 mm AAA clarity faceted round, bezel set on the other side of the hinge from the tulip blooms. The Cats eye Chrysoberyl is Bezel set as well with a leaf bail to top the whole deva off. The cats eye moves across the stone as a strong white line in a black field as you rotate the stone. The tulips move with the head stone. So, the moveable parts are the bail and the body stone.

Deva is 2 3/8 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches wide at the tulips. Deva is built to last if stored with care. Polishing gently will keep the high smooth places shiny while the creases and crevices will continue to get darker over time.

All parts are handmade. The fittings for the stones are just that, made to fit that stone. Fabricated by Creative Eddy using tarnish resistant Sterling silver sheet and wire. Stamped with my Makers Mark, Hearts Desire and sterling on the back of the Chrysoberyl.
