This is a fun stone you don’t see very often. It is called hypersthene from Canada. There are crystals that catch the light, the bands are caused by the crystals being twinned, going one direction then another. Anyway, the light show is all over the stone depending on how the light hits. When the light misses, the stone is a polished deep black. There are arrowhead leaves and tendrils on either side of the fitting to remind you this is a natural stone and not manmade.
Pendant is 1 7/8 inches tall by about 1 1/8 inches wide at its widest point. The tendril bail holds a medium sized chain. The silver has been blackened then brought back to a high shine to blend with the stone.
