Description
This is a wonderful stone. It has an interesting tan and brown patterning all over it. There’s precious fiery opal all through it that flashes at you when the light hits it just right. There is a lot of deep rich purple that hides in the shadows. There are larger speckles of a lovely blue green fire. Opal is very difficult to photograph well.
I love hidden things, deep things, things that are not obvious at first . Things that are precious once discovered. Opal catches that concept for me in its wonderful nature.
Opals are soft stones, so this one is well captured in a silver framework. The design is very organic. The oak leaves swing over the front of the stone and move when you do. This opal has as much fire on the front as on the back ,so both are open for viewing.
The back of the branch is signed with my Makers Mark and is stamped Sterling. Pendant is 2 3/4 inches tall by 1 inch at its widest point.
