Sterling Silver Brutalist japanese Maple and Amethyst with Foxtail Chain

Description

This is a Magnificent genuine Red Flash, deep purple Amethyst from South America. You can’t get any more purple than this. It has two flowing Japanese Maple Motifs on either side of the stone. The chain s links are fused, not soldered, giving it a very smooth look. The chain is made from Fine Silver, not sterling. This is a One-of-a-kind piece, very labor intensive and very striking as a result.

The silver has been blackened and brought back up to a high shine to bring out all the details in the design. The camera couldn’t capture the red purple flashes this stone gives off.

All bits were fabricated by me using Fine silver wire for the chain and Sterling silver sheet and wire for everything else. Leaf and stone section about 4 inches wide by about 2 inches high. Length of necklace is 22 1/2 inches long.
