Description
This is a very unique pendant. This is a Koroit Boulder opal from Australia. It is set in a bezel fitting and the bail stem sports a sprig of three leaves that are heat bonded to 24 Ky gold leaf. This technique is called Keum Boo and it is thicker and more durable than plating. The sprig of leaves can move independently from the bezeled stone. The bail can hold a medium sized chain. These stones are so unique that you will never find another one exactly like it. The ” play of fire” comes and goes with the passing of the light and the colors in this stone are very bright. The brown matrix stone is ironstone which looks fantastic against the performing precious opal veins. I bought this stone directly from the miner and have passed the savings on to you!
Pendant is 13/4 inches tall and 1 inch wide. All parts were fabricated by me, Creative Eddy, using tarnish resistant Sterling silver sheet and wire and 24 Ky gold leaf. Stamped Heart’s desire and sterling on the back of the pendant.
