Yup, another Hawkmoth. This is an Australian Opal cabochon in the body. The rainbow play-of-fire covers the whole stone, and all the colors are here. The Hawkmoth is facing down, if you can’t see her at first. She looks like a little airplane. The chain of the necklace is a 2.4 mm cable with a 4-inch extension so you can adjust it from 16-20 inches to fit your wardrobe. These are great conversation starters, and she is built to last for generations with a little thoughtful care.
Silver has been blackened and brought back to a high shine to bring out all the detail in the wings.
all parts except the chain were fabricated by me, Creative Eddy, using tarnish resistant Sterling silver sheet and wire. Moth is stamped with my Makers Mark and sterling on the back. Chain is regular Sterling silver. Variations of this design available upon request. Opals are very One-of-a-kind and cannot be reproduced exactly.
